First impressions are lasting impressions - Good vibes, pleasant décor, non-intrusive servers, simple menu, convenient to eat food – pretty much sums up my experience at their Juhu outlet.
Ok, the address on Zomato says Hotel Royal Garden, Juhu Tara Road – so if you are not familiar with the area, you might miss their small little cutesy entrance – we went on a weekday, the lights in Hotel Royal Garden were off… and could be easily missed if not for Google Maps.
Feel good vibes as soon as you step in… You would want to spend some time at the entrance, clicking pictures.
The whole ambiance inside continues to be calming and welcoming. From the menu to the bill, everything has the Grandma Café element to it. Nice.
We read on the front side of the menu, FREE wifi and got happiness that a kid would get at the mention of candy. Well it was kinda short-lived, almost like the candy was snatched away – connected – but no internet. Anyway did not bother much and moved on with our friendly chatter.
Baked tartlets – Yumness. Overflowed with cheese and spinach – corn seemed missing. Consume immediately, or else would turn in to a soggy mess.
Grandmama’s falafel –pita bread stuffed with pickled vegetables, mayo, hummus and falafel – folded like a wrap; fuss-free way to have this wholesome dish.
Grandmama’s special pizza – Thin crust pizza base, tomatoes, lots of finely chopped onions, very little olives and bell peppers. The taste was not enhanced even after adding oregano and chili flakes. The pizza was cold when it was served.
Good experience nevertheless because of the lovely decor!
