Amiri Khaman

So be entrepreneurial like gujjus and also be as creative as them when it comes to food! The awesome dhokla gets a makeover and it turns to Amiri khaman. 


How is this different from Surti Khaman? Well, in Suriti Khaman chana dal mixture is used instead of ready dhoklas. Also, it has a pinch of sugar… Amiri khaman is garlicky and has multiple flavors because of the several garnishing.

Crumble the khaman dhoklas leaving a few small pieces. Now for the main tadka, take rai, jeera, chopped garlic and a pinch of hing… Put this on the dhokla crumble. Mix well.

Make sure you add all these garnishings for the perfect Amiri Khaman :) - sev, pomegranate seeds and chopped coriander leaves. Desiccated coconut and shallowed fried green chilies can also be added. And it is ready to relish.
